Create Your Own Atlas

The nunaliit-sdk package is the place to start. Out of the box, it provides a number of sample implementations of atlas modules so you can get a feel for the syntax of the schema. After playing with the XML documents, you'll then be able to generate a web atlas as output so you can try it in your browser.

Please see the documentation page for more information on the pieces that make up nunaliit and how they work.

Requirements: The Nunaliit atlas framework makes heavy use of inline SVG. Support is being added in several browsers; however, only Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and higher have sufficient support for viewing the pages at the moment. You will need the Java Runtime Environment Version 5.0 or higher in order to generate the atlas once you have edited the XML content documents. Firefox will also need to be able to invoke Java in order to load the sound applet for sound support within the framework. This should happen automatically if you have both of these packages installed.
