We would be very happy to receive help with Nunaliit. From documentation to writing code and everything in between, there is plenty to do.

Mailing lists have been set up for discussion by users, developers, and for one-way use by the team to announce news about the project.

Issue Tracker

A JIRA-based issue tracker is available to track bugs, feature requests, and tasks. Without an account, you will only be permitted to browse the existing issues.

Since our resources to manage this are quite limited, we'll create issue tracker accounts for folks who are keen and able to help. With project growth and some assistance, we hope to be able to open our issue tracker for self-registration in the future.

Source Repository

A subversion-based source repository is home to the nunaliit code and dependancies.

Anonymous read access is permitted. Patches are great and we'd be happy to open a branch for developers interested in working on more significant features.

Contributions

We welcome your contributions and respect your authorship of the materials you contribute. We are still thinking about how best to handle issue of pedigree (that is the idea that contributions should be unemcumbered and freely given to the project by persons with the rights to do so.) We welcome feedback on how best to accomplish this. Some options we are looking at are copyright assignment/waiving with all contributions being given to the Geomatics and Cartographic Research Centre for stewardship, asking that works be placed in the public domain before being added to the project, or simply requiring the New BSD Licence on all contributions. We certainly don't want to scare contributors away so please let us know what you think.
